Yellow Catuai is an Arabica coffee variety native from Brazil, resulting from the cross between Mundo Novo and Caturra. It is characterized by its high productivity, low stem, and ripe yellow fruit. Its cup profile is balanced, with bright acidity and sweet notes of caramel and fruit. It is grown primarily in Brazil, especially in Minas Gerais and São Paulo, and is prized in specialty coffees for its natural sweetness and good yield.

Naturally processed Yellow Catuai highlights its sweetness and fruity notes. After selective harvesting, the whole cherries are sun-dried for 15-30 days, constantly turning them for even drying. The beans then rest to stabilize flavors before being pulped and sorted. This process provides silky body, balanced acidity, and a fruity profile, ideal for specialty coffees.

Longitude Coffees emerged between longitudes 22′′ and 23′′, where the earth is molded with majestic excellence. We are a coffee company that represents a movement celebrating quality coffee cultivation and a commitment to sustainability. Exceptional coffee production is not limited to specific regions or high altitudes.

Their mission is to discover the extraordinary potential that lies in beans grown with passion and expertise in the diverse regions of Brazil. They explore unique terroirs that express the richness and diversity of Brazilian soils in every cup. José Antônio Rezende da Silva was born into the world of coffee. He grew up as the son of coffee farmers in the northern region of Paraná, Brazil, between longitudes 22 and 23.

Since 2003, he has dedicated himself to transforming the lives of coffee farmers by introducing modern techniques to improve coffee quality: from cultivation and nutrition to management and proper processing methods. In 2004, he became certified as a professional coffee cupper.

In 2007, José expanded his efforts to promote good production practices. He has supported farms in obtaining Fair Trade certification and developing geographic identification initiatives. These efforts opened doors to new markets, increasing the commercial value and profitability of coffee.

The result has improved incomes and elevated the quality of life for families and communities in various regions.

In 2010, he obtained SCA certification as a Q-grader. That same year, José brought Paraná coffee to the world. Thanks to this, he began to gain international recognition, marking a key turning point for the region.

In 2015, José founded a company focused on the purchase and export of Brazilian coffee to all continents. He integrated ESG programs aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to foster sustainable progress throughout the coffee supply chain.

Now, in 2024, after leaving the leadership of his company, he takes on a new challenge: founding Longitude Coffees to make Brazil's finest coffees more accessible to the world.

José's journey, from providing technical support to building a global coffee business, is a true testament to how sustainability and quality can go hand in hand.
