The Twiyunge Cooperative is an agricultural organization located in the Mbuye region of Muramvya province, in central Burundi. This cooperative operates the Masama coffee washing station, where local smallholders process their coffee cherries. The name "Twiyunge" in Kirundi means "let us unite," reflecting its focus on community collaboration and collaborative development.
The coffee produced by the Twiyunge cooperative in Mbuye is of the Bourbon Arabica variety, grown at altitudes ranging from 1700 -2000masl. These conditions, along with the region's fertile soils and temperate equatorial climate, contribute to the production of high-quality coffee. Burundian coffees, in general, are characterized by clean and balanced flavor profiles, with complex sweet notes, nuances of chocolate, and dried fruits.
In addition to its quality, the Twiyunge Cooperative plays a significant role in the region's social and economic development. By involving a significant proportion of women in coffee production, the cooperative promotes gender equity and provides economic opportunities to rural communities.
Through collective organization, farmers receive better prices for their coffee, technical training, and community development opportunities. Furthermore, these cooperatives foster social cohesion and reconciliation between different ethnic groups, promoting a spirit of understanding and tolerance.

El café necesita un tiempo de desgasificación después de ser tostado, y como trabajamos prácticamente sin stock, nuestros envíos los haremos respetando su reposo para que lo tengas en tu casa en los siguientes 2-3 días laborables.

Una vez recibimos el pedido, lo tostamos, lo reposamos, lo empaquetamos y lo enviamos... con este margen de tiempo te llegará listo para poder consumirlo en Filtro, y si esperas unos días más, para Espresso.

..las cosas salen mejor. No hace falta que te llegue tu café en 24h a no ser que quieras contemplar lo bonito que es el grano y el paquete ;)
